This weekend the National Cherry Blossom Festival takes place in Washington D.C.
Set for this Saturday, April 11th, the Cherry Blossom Parade runs along iconic Constitution Avenue, from 7th to 17th Streets, NW. The steps of the National Archives serve as an exciting performance backdrop, and vibrant costumes and blossom-inspired décor create the look of the nation’s premier springtime parade.
A variety of celebrities will also participate including Grammy Award Winning Recording Artist Estelle, Recording Artist Lance Bass, Radio Disney Recording Artist Jordan Fisher, Heffron Drive featuring Kendall Schmidt, Season 13 “American Idol” Winner Caleb Johnson, and Recording Artist Jade Starling.
Costumed characters and gargantuan helium balloons include Japanese lanterns, pink cherry blossoms, and characters like Doraemon, one of the most beloved characters of Japan, Strawberry Shortcake, the Care Bears Cheer Bear, and Spike from Jim Henson’s Doozers.
